Fruit Inspection

In Memory Of

We interrupt this week of vacation bible school to bring you a heart breaking news flash: the York’s sweet little boy kitty, Beebo was found dead in the bushes outside their home this morning. Tragically, they have no idea what happened.

The cat’s owner, Savannah, could not be reached for comments at this time.

Savannah’s mother says she noticed last night that Beebo had not been home for breakfast or dinner yesterday, and had checked the shed before going to bed to see if he had gotten trapped in there the day before when the lawn equipment was being put away. She claims to have called for him several times and when he did not come to her, she assumed he was out chasing birds or squirrels.

Beebo was a highly energetic young cat who loved to pounce and play. It was not uncommon to see him “hiding” in the grass, waiting for an unsuspecting victim to walk by. This game became increasingly annoying to his sister, Lucy, as she got older and was no longer interested in those kitten-type games.

Even so, Beebo remained a “kit” at heart and the evidence could be found all over the York estate in the form of many (many!) lizards and small rodents who had met their demise after an hour or so of entertaining the mischievous cat. And when playtime was through, Beebo would love nothing more than to curl up on someones lap for purrr’s and petting, and a short cat nap.

Visitation can be made during daylight hours only, over the fence and behind last years’ Christmas tree. The burial will take place sometime this weekend when Mr York has time to dig an appropriate sized hole. Donations can be made to the “Let’s Get a Dog Next Time” fund, set up by Mrs York. The family has decided that no autopsy will be performed.
