My mother in law called me the other day and asked if she could have the kids for a day. I was like, “both of them at once?” I had to make sure ya know, because there is a huge difference in having one and having both of them at the same time.
It turned out that yes, she wanted to spend some time with both of them. And not only that, but she asked if Jeremy and I might like to go to dinner tonight before we pick them up. Wow! That would be GREAT!!!
So all day yesterday I thought about what I was going to do today: get caught up on chores? clean out closets looking to see what the kids needed in the way of back to school clothes? finish my budget counseling homework? watch TV (would I dare)? have lunch with a friend? go shopping? take a nap??????
So many possibilities, so little time!
After I dropped them off this morning I decided to come back home and see where the day takes me. So far I’ve done some laundry, cleaned my bathroom, made a dental appt, and cleaned up the place. I am thinking about working on my scrapbooks or finishing the 2nd Blurb book I am working on. I could also use a nap since Savannah got me up 3 times last night saying she was scared of Teletubbies! We don’t even watch that show…I’m not sure how that got in her head.
But anyhoo, I am having a nice relaxing day and even though I am not spoiling and pampering myself, it’s nice to be here alone in peace and quiet. And besides, I haven’t totally ruled out a pedicure later today.
Thanks so much Nana! I know you are having a fun/busy/loud/exhausting day today while I am sipping on a warm cup of Creme Caramel, but you have really made my week with your offer. I appreciate it soooo much! And I know the kids are having a ball!!! :)
