Savannah: She saw the movie “The Wizard of Oz” for the first time last weekend and now she is in love! After watching it at my moms on Friday night, she asked me to Tivo it on Saturday and has bugged me every day since then to watch it. This is completely baffling to Jeremy and myself. We were both scared to watch it when we were like, um, 10 and she is only 4. And think about it…we watched it on what? A 12 inch television? She is captivated by it on a 52 inch plasma with surround sound! You Go Girl!
Emery: He has decided to change his own poopy diapers this week. It started on Monday when he walked up to me with poop in his hand and said, “I stinky”. And gross (my words, not his). I changed that one and went on to discover that before he came upstairs to show me the poop in his hand he had smeared it on the walls of the playroom. Nice one. On Wednesday he brought the dirty diaper to me, thankfully not on his hands this time, but running down his leg. Today, Jeremy caught him taking off another dirty one in his room. Daddy called my name but I pretended not to hear him, then listened in on the baby monitor as he cleaned him up and gave him fatherly advice about poop! That was good for a laugh anyways. I guess I need to get serious about potty training this one.
Me: Well, I am tired. Maybe you can tell by the lack of interesting posts this week. I don’t know why I’m so tired. I am getting good sleep and able to get up in the morning, but I am just good for nothing by mid afternoon. And I am still battling the Enemy on a few issues and feeling very defeated. So if you are the praying type and want to send up a word for me, gosh, that would be swell! :)

I hear you sister. You will be in my prayers. The enemy likes hitting us hard when we’re tired so hang in there. I’m on the branch next to you.
Too funny about Emery’s dirty diapers. Bentley lets me know now when he is about to “poo” as he calls it. So, we go to the potty each time and we sit and sit and sit and sit and sit, well you get the picture. So after about 25 mins of sitting we get down and go put a diaper on and I no sooner have the second tab in place when I smell it!!!!! I guess poo will go in the potty some day! And about feeling defeated, well I’ll just join you and Cyndy on that next branch.
Prayers are coming your way!
That enemy must be in the air this week! Save me a branch too! It doesn’t help that I’m PMSing on top of it all. But, hey, look at the bright side: Diapers are almost a thing of the past for you, an extra $18.00 in your budget!
Thanks for calling and I will be praying. We have to defeat this enemy and enjoy our THAKSGIVING
holiday even though it feels like Christmas and I’m scrooge!
Exhaustion seems to come with this mothering territory. Things like cleaning po.op off the walls can make you exhausted. I hope your weekend is restful.
