If that is in fact your real name. I am only wondering because when I tried to respond to the slightly rude and ever-so presumptuous comment you left me, the email address turned out to be a fake. I would like to think that if a person makes the kind of claims you made, one would, at the very least, have enough guts to leave the correct contact information for a proper rebuttal. Wouldn’t you agree?
Great! And since I am unable to reach you via your fraudulent email address, I will just respond through the world wide web. You don’t mind, do you? How about if we do it line by line?
Great!!! Here is your first question:
1. “Have you ever considered how your not bankrupt and live in that very expensive home? How about the people that made that happen?”
First of all, it seems to me that you are assuming that not only are we continuing to draw a paycheck, but we are doing it at the expense of our subcontractors. What makes you think we are not living strictly off our savings? We are not selling any houses. Where do you think our money is coming from?
Secondly, and most importantly, have YOU ever considered that the ONLY reason we haven’t filed for bankruptcy is strictly for the BENEFIT of our subcontractors? We certainly qualify to file, but once we do that we loose the ability to pay our debts. If the banks own it all then they get the profit when the home does sell. And do you think they will pay our subcontractors? I think not.
2. “You want us to feel bad for you because your children are not in the comfort of private school…”
Well, I don’t believe I’ve ever asked for that. My husband and I decided to homeschool our daughter about 2 years ago when we looked into the cost of private school kindergaten around here. At the time, money was not an object. But even so, and even if the economy was still going strong, we just don’t feel that a K-5 education is worth 5 thousand dollars. I am enjoying homeschooling and certainly don’t want anyone to feel bad for me because it was completely my choice.
3. “…or want us to believe you are so oblivious of what is happening while your on vacation to Disney…”
What makes you think I’m oblivious to anything going on in my own home? Because my family decided to go on vacation? A vacation we planned and saved for for over a year? Are we not allowed to spend our savings however we like? Or am I supposed to ask your permission? I think that if we are willing to make changes and sacrifices in our budget in order to take our kids to Disney World, then that’s our prerogative. I don’t tell you how to spend your money.
4. “…and your husband has defaulted on over 4 million.”
Now, that was just a shot in the dark. Nice try. But you are way off.
5. “We took your blinders off a long time ago! Greed has a way of catchin you. May the lord turn a blind eye, as the rest of us continue to watch.”
Your greed comment only proves that you clearly have no idea who I am. You read my blog, maybe watch me from a distance, and form opinions about me that anyone who knows me or my husband can disprove.
I do ask the Lord to turn a blind eye. Do you?
Sincerely,
