This is a fantastic book! The author is a holocaust survivor and he writes about the days that lead up to his family’s capture and the time he spent in the concentration camps. He paints a picture of how devastating this event was for his family and how, as a young boy, his life was forever changed. He explains how his faith was put to the ultimate test.
Mr Wiesel’s writing style made the holocaust so real to me. Especially now since I have young children and would fight to protect them from this type of devastation. It’s sad to think that once his generation has past on, the world my forget the pain and heartache of these Jewish people. This story is a wonderful reminder. Let’s not forget!
