Today is our 8th anniversary. Woo-Hoo!!! In my head I had planned to write a nice, long post about why I love my dear hubby. (It would be very lengthy, ya know!) A post just for him for our special day. But…well…life has gotten in the way of that idea!
We’ve been running ever since we got back. Saturday afternoon was a car show (and if you’re wondering what is up with all these cars shows I’ve been to lately, there is an explanation coming, I assure you!), Saturday night we took Jeremy out for Father’s Day to Medieval Times, Sunday was church and then Father’s Day at my parents house (and no, my pictures are still not finished. They are downloaded, but not uploaded…make sense??? LOL!).
Today our Sunday School class had a playdate at a local swimming pool so I took the kids over there for a while. I also got caught up on laundry today, cleaned 2 of my bathrooms, and spent over an hour on the phone with Blue Cross Blue Shield and the hospital that did Emery’s labwork in December of 2006 when we thought he might have leukemia. Yes…2006!!! It seems they sent us to collections while we away last week even though I haven’t received a bill from them since April of last year and at that time I notified BCBS that the hospital overcharged us (them) and I was told it would be corrected and to look for a bill in the amount of $25.41 that was applied to our deductible.
That was the last I heard until getting a collections notice over the weekend that said we owed $131.98. Hello? Can you say lack of communication??? I’m just glad I decided to hang onto that old bill and all my notes about who said what to whom. I remember almost tossing it away earlier this year. Hopefully that is resolved once and for all!
In a little while I am heading to a friend’s house for a study about Muslim women. I think it will be very interesting and if I learn anything worth sharing, I will pass it on.
Some may be thinking, what? The night of your anniversary you are going to a friend’s house? Shame, shame! Well, in all honesty, Jeremy and I aren’t the kind of people who get bent out of shape if we don’t celebrate things in a big way. We exchanged “happy anniversary” emails this morning. And truly, if my mom hadn’t called to wish us a happy day, I’m not sure how long it would have taken me to remember! LOL!!! But thankfully, 2 weekends ago, we shared a cabin with some friends at Reynold’s Plantation and we justified it by saying “this will be for our anniversary”. So I guess, officially, we’ve already celebrated it anyways! :)
