From Emery:
Yesterday I walked into the kitchen where Emery was seated at the table driving his Cars around and making Vrooom-ing noises. He just barely looked up and said, “Hi, Jodi”.

This morning Emery came up to me with wide eyes saying, “Doc ‘n ta-set”. I was trying hard to make out what he was saying so I crouched down to his level, caught his gaze, and asked him to repeat it. “Doc ‘n ta-set”, he said again. I could tell he really wanted me to understand what he was talking about, so I couldn’t pass it off with an “oh, okay, Honey” and go about my business of folding clothes. I studied him hard this time and asked once again, “I’m sorry, Emery, what are you saying?” He didn’t get frustrated or seem bothered at all to tell me once again “Doc n’ ta-set”.
By this time I noticed he was clinging to Mater, the tow truck from the Disney movie Cars. So I knew he was telling me something about the old Doc Hudson character. “Are you saying that Doc is in the closet?”, I asked, hoping I had finally figured it out. He grinned, “Nooooo…Doc ‘n ta-set”. Then he took Mater and gently drove him up my arm and onto my face. It was then that I realized Mater was wet. And so was Emery’s arm. And shirt. Then the lightbulb moment…”Doc was in the TOILET?????”
Emery’s face beamed! And mine had toilet water on it. Let’s just hope Savannah remembered to flush! Ick!

That is so funny–and a little gross, I guess. I particularly like the non-chalant “Hi, Jodi”. So very cute. I posted my 5 things-can’t remember if I told you that already.
oh, I love it. A little gross, but way too cute!!
HEE HEE! I can see that he is following in Savannah’s footsteps… His “stories” are going to be great too!!
Nice! Boys and toilets! That’s funny!
Aren’t boys fun?
That is too funny! Toilet water and little ones go together like glue! :)
